DUAL-TRACE STORAGE OSCILLOSCOPE C9-27
This high-speed dual-trace storage oscilloscope is designed to display, record and measure the parameters of two single or periodic signals.
Main fields of application:
- measurement of signal parameters for research purposes;
- automatic measurement of signal parameters, recording, display and processing of a signal with the oscilloscope as part of agtomated measuring systems built around the common-user channel (CUC);
- Recording of single, rarely recurrent and slow-changing signals throughout investigations in the fields of nuclear physics, chemistry, radar, seismology, mechanics.
The instrument operation principle is based on normalization of a signal by a scaling amplifier up to the input range of the an a log-to-digital converter (ADC), digitization, storage of digital data stream in the main memory, and data display on the CRT screen. Digitization and storage are effected in real time. The instrument ADC is built around LSICs, series 1107. Its High-accuracy characteristics are obtained due to special-purpose chips, used in the signal amplification section.
Conversion, data processing and control of the instrument modes are performed by means of two microprocessors, series 580 and 1804, which combines broad functional capabilities and quick change of information on the display screen.
Used as a display is a high-resolution CRT 17ЛО6И featuring low nonlinear distortions and high contrast. Information about the signal waveform on the CRT screen is displayed along with main and additional information about the parameters of the signals and instrument modes.
The operating modes are controlled from the keyboard or via CUC interface. The entire keyboard is programmed via the interface, which allows the instrument to be used in automated measuring systems. The use of the "Menu" mode has made it possible to reduce the number of keyboard buttons, and thus simplify the operator's work with the instrument.
The instrument includes provision for automated measurement of time and amplitude characteristics of signals such as amplitude, rise time, pulse duration, displaying them in an alphanumeric form. A high measuring accuracy allows the instrument to be used for precision measurements.
The main memory is used for recording one to four signals from one or two inputs. Four signals can be processed when the reference sample "Storage" mode is turned on for comparing the characteristics of the current changing signal with the stored reference one.
The instrument features self-diagnostics which allows tracing to a functional assembly located on one PC board, modes for testing the RAM, main memory, synchronizer, amplifier and conversion channels, and the indicator, which makes fault detection and easy effective job.
Examples of using the microprocessor are single adaptation for an input periodic signal, signal interpolation mode for more precise restoration of the signal waveform, and the possibility of horizontal and vertical signal expansion.
The data on the signals being measured will be stored until the instrument is off, and with the standby supply in use, until the information is erased by the operator. The low current drain of the main memory makes it possible to store data for a long time with the instrument off and the standby supply on.
The instrument can be used under extreme environmental conditions.
